Lebanon: 16 soldiers killed in clashes with anti-Hezbollah Sunnis

The fierce clashes between Lebanese army forces and supporters of Sunni Muslim cleric Sheikh Ahmed al-Assir are continuing in the southern city of Sidon.
Sixteen soldiers have been killed so far in the battles against the supports of the cleric, who is a stanch opponent of the Syrian regime and Hezbollah. Al-Arabiya reported that Hezbollah fighters and members of the Amal movement are also taking part in the fighting. (Roi Kais)
