Erekat: Abbas insistent on Israeli retreat to 1967 borders
Chief Palestinian Negotiator Saeb Erekat said the willingness of the Palestinian Authority to restart peace talks with Israel hinges on Israel's commitment to halt settlement construction, its acceptance of the two-state solution and release of Palestinian prisoners.
Erekat added that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has not renounced the demand for Israel to retreat to 1967 borders, and reports to the contrary represent Israeli manipulations. (Elior Levy)
