Ashkenazi: ‘Lack of understanding' behind Harpaz affair

Former Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi addressed the State Comptroller's report on the Harpaz affair and said, "The State Comptroller answered some of the things that bothered us all." Ashkenazi participated in a meeting of the State Control Committee on the report.
After this meeting, Ashkenazi qualified his statement, "Behind the main arguments was a lack of understanding. It is important for everyone to remember that the comptroller stated that there was no diversion of the military against the political leadership.” (Aviel Magnezi)
