Stanley Fischer: Governor is less important than in previous years

Outgoing Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer held a press conference on the occasion of his departure next week and said, "The Governor is less important than in previous years." Karnit Flug is replacing Fischer for several weeks until appointed Governor Jacob Frenkel begins.

 

Fisher reviewed the state of the economy and robustness in eight years, listed the achievements of the Bank and referred to the housing market. (Avital Lahav)
