Jerusalem to host forums with foreign writers
Jewish American author Nicole Krauss to open new series of literature meetings between foreign authors, Israeli readers ahead of International Writers' Festival
A new series of literature meetings between foreign writers and Israeli readers is about to open in Jerusalem's Mishkenot Sha'ananim neighborhood ahead of the International Writers' Festival, which will be held in the Israeli capital in May 2014.
The series will host guest authors from around the world, alongside Israeli researchers and intellectuals, musicians and culture critics.

The first meeting will be held on July 11 with Jewish American author Nicole Krauss, who was recently appointed associate artistic director of the International Writers Festival.
Krauss will attend the meeting, titled "From 'The Great Gatsby' to 'The History of Love,' alongside Hana Wirth-Nesher, a professor of English and American studies, and Dr. Ronnie Mirkin, a historian of visual culture, as well literary critic Iri Rikin, poet Lior Sternberg and chef Gil Hovav.
US-born Krauss graduated from Stanford and Oxford universities and lives in Brooklyn with her husband, novelist Jonathan Safran Foer, and their two children. Her books include "Man Walks into a Room," "The History of Love" and "Great House."
