Air Force chief on budget cuts: IAF will remain strong

Air Force Commander Major General Amir Eshel said at a pilots’ graduation ceremony, "Reality forced us into many operations over the past year, most distant and out of sight, on the edge of imagination."
Regarding defense budget cuts, Eshel said, "We are aware of the economic situation and determined to leave no stone unturned to maintain the corps as the strong arm of the IDF, while also remaining effective. I'm sorry for the fiery atmosphere against the career soldier.” (Ilana Curiel)
