Knesset
members on Thursday voted to cut their wages by 1% only, after the government decided on a 10% cut as part of the Arrangement's Law
last month, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Friday.
On Thursday, the Knesset's Labor and Welfare Committee approved for second and third readings the governmental bill whereby the salaries of the prime minister, the president, government ministers, MKs, Bank of Israel governor, state comptroller, council heads and judges, will be cut by 1%.

It was also decided that civil service employees will receive a 1% pay rise as of January 2015, instead of July 2013, in accordance with an agreement between the finance minister and Labor Federation head.
A Knesset member's current monthly salary stands at NIS 38,300 (roughly $10,600). Instead of cutting NIS 3,830 (roughly $1,060), the Knesset decided to cut only NIS 383 (roughly $106) from the MKs' monthly wages. A minister's salary stands at NIS 41,900 a month and will see a NIS 419 cut.
The prime minister currently earns NIS 46,700 a month; the president takes home NIS 54,200.
