Ministerial Committee authorizes Yesh Atid's governance bill

Yesh Atid's proposal for changing the form of governance in Israel has been authorized by the Ministerial Committee on Legislative Affairs. Finance Minister and Yesh Atid Chairman Yair Lapid presented the bill.
Interior Minister Gideon Sa'ar objected to an article which stipulates that failure to pass the State's budget would not mandate the Knesset's dispersing, claiming it harms the MKs incentive to support the budget. Justice Minister Tzipi Livni and House Minister Uri Ariel abstained from the vote. (Moran Azulaty)
