Peres: Hope events in Egypt calm down

President Shimon Peres expressed hope that the situation in Egypt calms down soon. "We do not know how events in Egypt will develop and we hope they settle down soon," Peres said during a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Enrico Valletta.
Peres added, "We see conflict in the Middle East among populations due to basic needs not being met like hunger and employment. We must act quickly to provide citizens with these needs." (Noam Dvir)
