UN chief urges democratic solution in Egypt
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is urging Egyptians to find ways to resolve their differences through democratic means and is appealing for tolerance and peaceful coexistence of different faiths and beliefs. UN deputy spokesman Eduardo del Buey said Monday that Ban strongly believes peaceful dialogue and non-violence are the keys to restoring stability and moving Egypt's transition forward.
"The world is watching Egypt, and what Egypt does with its transition will have a significant impact on other transition countries in the region," del Buey said. (AP)
