Iran: Egyptian army should respect elections results

Iran is calling on the Egyptian army to respect the results of the last elections in their country. The statement comes after the army issued an ultimatum to Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and gave him 48 hours to step down.
According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), the Iranian Foreign Ministry released a statement that read: "The Egyptian army needs to take into consideration the results of the last round of elections in the country and not create dispute within the people." (AFP)
