The Education Ministry recently began a campaign to recruit high school graduates to perform their national service in preschools with children ages three and four. The project has been assigned 500 places in schools for the coming year.
According to the Ministry, "The goal is to strengthen the early childhood education system and to help preschool teachers and assistants. Bringing national service into preschools will provide benefits as professional training, is recognized by colleges and can potentially integrate into the educational system in the future."
