Transportation Minister: Seaport reforms to create real competition

Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz spoke during the presentation of the seaport dock reform in the Prime Minister's Office and said: "This reform will open Israel's waters to competition and the decision to form two new seaports will create a new reality of real competition" between Israel's existing docks.
Katz then compared the plight of the seaports with that of the Israeli Railways, saying that in both cases the management could not function and that action was being undertaken in a bid to change that. (Noam Dvir)
