Morsi urges Egyptians to 'peacefully oppose military coup'

Ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi called on the Egyptian people to "peacefully" oppose the army-led revolt. "The Egyptian army's statement is a complete military coup," Morsi said in a post on his Twitter account.
According to the ousted president, "All citizens, commanders and soldiers must be committed to the constitution and not accept this coup, which takes Egypt back in time." (AFP)
