Egypt Brotherhood says gathering fired on in Cairo

Officials of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood said a gathering of its supporters near a mosque in a Cairo suburb was fired on for several minutes early on Thursday, after Islamist President Mohamed Morsi was ousted by the army.
About an hour later, Reuters correspondents found the site calm. Islamists have been gathered there for some days in a show of solidarity with Morsi as he came under pressure from the military. (Reuters)
