German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle called for calm in Egypt following the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi. "We call on all concerned parties to stay in the path of democracy, avoid violence and show confidence in dialogue," the minister said during a visit in Greece.
Westerwelle stated that dialogue, the desire for compromise and balance between political factions are necessary for the stability of Egypt's new democratic regime. (AFP)
