Russian lawmaker: Egypt ouster proves democracy only works in West

Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Russian Parliament Alexei Pushkov said that Egypt's President Mohamed Morsi's ouster "proves democracy doesn't work outside of the West."
"The 'Arab Spring' didn't lead to democracy but to chaos. We can see that in Egypt, Libya, Syria and Iran. The events in Egypt prove there is no gradual transition from tyranny to democracy," he added. (AFP)
