AG: Evacuation of TA homeless only when harm public
None
Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein filed his opinion to the Supreme Court on the matter of evacuation of homeless in Tel Aviv, following an appeal filed by the Tel Aviv Municipality on the District Court ruling.
Weinstein claimed that similarly to the District Court ruling, an arrangement of the municipality procedures is in order, and homeless should be evacuated only when their presence causes harm to the public. In an appeal filed by the Association for Civil Rights, the municipality was required "to not remove by force homeless people…and not confiscate their sleeping equipment." (Aviel Magnezi)
