Equal Share of Burden Law to be brought to cabinet approval
The law for the equal share of the burden is to be brought before the cabinet Sunday as well as before the Ministerial Committee on Legislation.
Though the ministerial echelon is expected to approve the law, Yisrael Beiteinu is expected to resist due to the fact that the law does not refer to the service of Israeli Arabs, nor does it adapt the service duration of Hesder soldiers to the new criteria. Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein has also said in the past that the law still bears discriminatory elements. (Moran Azulay)
