Ron Dermer to replace Michael Oren as Israel's ambassador to US

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to appoint Ron Dermer as Israel's ambassador to Washington. Dermer, who was Netanyahu's chief advisor over the last four years, has served in the past as an economic attaché to the embassy.
Dermer, 42, married and father to five, is a graduate of the Pensylvania University Business School and has a degree in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford University. Dermer will replace outgoing ambassador Michael Oren. (Attila Somfalvi)
