Report: Egypt army killed, arrested 200 militants in Sinai
Over the past few days, Egyptian security forces have killed and arrested around 200 militants in the Sinai Peninsula, London-based newspaper Al-Hayat reports, citing an Egyptian military source.
According to the report, military operations killed 32 Hamas militants and another 45 of the group’s members were arrested. "Hamas has been inflaming the situation in Sinai since the ouster of Mohamed Morsi," the source was quoted as saying. (Roi Kais)
