Former Judge Dan Cohen has been convicted, as part of a plea bargain, of accepting bribes from German Siemens company while serving as director of the Israel Electric Corporation. He was also convicted of breach of trust.
The prosecution said that Cohen would serve a six-year term of imprisonment, from which his period of detention abroad and in Israel will be deducted. The State also asked to confiscate NIS 4 million ($1 million) from Cohen's bank account in Panama. (Naama Cohen-Friedman)
