Labor Chairwoman MK Shelly Yachimovich said in response to a report that suspended Ashdod Seaport Workers' Union Alon Hassan filed her party's offices with hundreds of membership applications: "Hassan caused unforgivable damage to organized labor in Israel."
Yachimovich added: "Times have changed and Labor party members are free and ideaological individuals who do not answer to ballot lobbyists, and I'm certain Hassan's brutish conduct is repulsive to them." (Moran Azulay)
