Haredim accused of Mea Shearim assault given house arrest
The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court ordered the release to house arrest of two haredim accused of attacking policemen earlier in the week, as the law enforcement officers attempted to rescue a haredi soldier from rioters in the Mea Shearim neighborhood in Jerusalem.
At the same time, the court ordered their release be delayed due to the prosecutor’s request to appeal the release with the District Court. (Aviel Magnezi)
