North Korea says two people have died and about 760 have been left homeless after torrential rains hit the central region of the country this week. The state-run Korean Central News Agency said Saturday that the downpour damaged more than 150 houses and 1,720 hectares of farmland, according to a preliminary estimate.
It says the provinces that were hit the worst by the heavy rains are the three provinces that border with South Korea where heavy rains also hit, delaying flights and damaging houses. but no deaths were reported. (AP)
