State Comptroller to probe alleged Ethiopian birth control
State Comptroller Joseph Shapira announced to the Knesset's Committee on Rights of the Child Chairman Knesset Member Orly Levi-Abekasis that following her appeal, an investigation will be launched on the matter of alleged State intentions to reduce birth rates among Ethiopian immigrants.
MK Levi-Abekasis turned to the State comptroller after a Knesset research showed that Ethiopian immigrants received Depo Provera (contraceptives) injections, when some were not told what the injections were and some were told they are vaccination. (Moran Azulay)
