Involuntary manslaughter for running over man
Avraham Cohen, 31, of Rishon Lezion, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, two-and-a-half years after he ran over a 79-year-old man who was crossing the street.
According to the indictment submitted to Petah Tikva Traffic Court, the defendant struck the senior citizen as he crossed the road at a pedestrian crossing. The man was severely injured and died after an eight month hospitalization. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
