Inmate hangs self in Tzalmon prison

A 36-year-old inmate in Tzalmon prison killed himself by hanging in his cell’s toilet area. An MDA team was dispatched to the prison and declared his death. The man was being held on domestic violence charges.
The prisoner had not been defined as having a suicide risk. The Israel Prison Service reported the incident to police and established a committee of inquiry. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
