Navy detains foreign ship suspected of weapons smuggling

It has been cleared for publication that Israeli naval forces engaged in ongoing security operations in the Red Sea stopped a foreign ship last December, due to intelligence information received. Several of those on board, suspected of weapons smuggling, were taken for questioning.
The suspects, apparently of Yemeni origin, were detained and questioned in Israel prior to being released when no weapons were found on the ship. (Yoav Zitun)
