Madonna, the Queen of pop, watched her son Rocco cross the threshold into manhood last week at his bar mitzvah service in New York City’s Kabbalah Center.

Madonna keeps Yom Kippur waiting

Attending the rite of passage was Madonna’s ex-husband and British director, Guy Ritchie, and her current boyfriend and dancer, Brahim Zaibat.

Rocco is Ritchie and Madonna’s shared son from their marriage which dissolved in 2008.

Widely known for dallying with Jewish mysticism, Rocco's bar mitzvah came at a period where much speculation has arisen in regards to Madonna purchasing a home in Tel Aviv,

after she was reportedly seen sporting a brochure for high-end real estate in Israel's cultural capital.

While on her MDNA 2012 tour, Madonna narrowed her sights on Israel, especially choosing Tel Aviv’s Ramat Gan Stadium as the first venue she would perform at. Over 30,000 fans had attended the show.
