Prosor urges UN to condemn Syrian firing at Israel

Israeli Ambassador to the UN Ron Prosor sent a letter to the Security Council urging it to condemn Syrian firing at Israeli territory which he said was a serious violation of the 1974 ceasefire agreement.
Prosor stated that Israel has exercised "maximum restraint" in regards to the Syrian conflict and the spillover into Israel. Israel will not allow its citizens to become victims because of such assaults, he said, emphasizing that Israel will continue to insist on its right to self defense. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
