Fined NIS 900,000 for hog pen that polluted

The Akko Magistrate's Court sentenced the owners of a hog pen to NIS 900,000 in fines due to pollution of the environment. The pigsty, located in the northern village of Kfar Mi'ilya, contaminated nearby land and water. The owners are two brothers – Hatam and Jawl Arraf. This is the highest penalty ever given to a hog pen in Israel. (Billy Frenkel)
