Al Qaeda affiliated group claims attack on Hezbollah convoy

The al-Qaeda affiliated Abdallah Azam Brigades took responsibility for the Hezbollah convoy blast in Lebanon on Tuesday, Lebanese media reported.

The group's statement said that "this action is a message for Hezbollah and its masters that as long as you continue to massacre our children and brothers in Syria and keep intervening, we'll fulfill our duty and will not sit idly." The Abdallah Azam took responsibility before for rockets fired at Israel from southern Lebanon and even threatened to assassinate outgoing Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, during his visit to Lebanon in 2010.
