Government to approve cut of 4% in ministry budgets

Sunday in its weekly meeting, the government will ask to approve a budget cut of 4% across the various ministries, in order to finance changes which the Knesset Finance Committee demanded be put into the approved budget plan, which is to go before the Knesset at month's end.
The cuts, totaling NIS 600 million, will apply to all ministries except the ministries of Defense and Social Affairs. The budgets of the Ministries of Education and of Transportation will be cut separately, and at a greater rate of NIS 500 million each. (Avital Lahav)
