The Tel Aviv District Court dismissed the request from the attorney for business man Danny Dankner, who argued that he did not need to respond to charges in the Holyland case, because without the testimony of late state’s witness late Shmuel Dachner, there was no foundation for an indictment against him.
Judge David Rosen wrote in his decision that the evidence presented in court by the prosecution "seemingly shows the responsibility of the applicant attributed to him by accuser." Dankner is accused of bribery in the “Israel Salt Industries affair.” (Aviel Magnezi)
