Reports: Top Syrian army commander killed in battles with rebels

Media outlets in Syria and Lebanon that are affiliated with the Syrian opposition reported that a senior commander in the Syrian army, Mohamed Ali Abu Sliman, was killed in battles with rebels in a Damascus suburb.
Some of the reports stated that Syrian state TV had announced the death. Abu Sliman is an operations and special ops commander in the Syrian army's presidential guard. (Roi Kais)
