Shalom: If Electric Corp. were private, would head to receiver

Energy and Water Minister Silvan Shalom announced the work of a committee that will eventually recommend a reform in the domestic electricity field in order to end the monopoly of government-owned Israel Electric Corporation.
"If Electric Corp. were a privately-held company, the management would have to draw conclusions and perhaps even reach receivership," said Minister Shalom at a joint press conference with Histadrut Labor Federation Chairman Ofer Eini. (Avital Lahav)
