Home Front Minister Gilad Erdan said that his office is most suited to concentrate and lead emergency preparedness in times of calm. According to him, nearly a third of Israeli residents do not have access to a bomb shelter.
He added: "Without the proper authority we will not be able to meet the target of minimizing the protection disparities. The PM will be required in the coming week to make important decisions on the home front and its emergency readiness." The minister also said that "Israel's enemies have 200,000 missiles that can hit any home." (Yoav Zitun)
