Obama, Netanayhu offer condolences, assistance to Spain

US President Barack Obama expressed dismay Thursday at the train crash in Spain that left at least 80 people dead, including one American. "On behalf of the American people, we offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to the families and loved ones of (those) who lost their lives."
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: "On behalf of the State and people of Israel, I extend my condolences for the many human lives lost in the horrific train crash near Santiago de Compostela," Netanyahu wrote. "As always, Israel stands ready to assist." (AFP)
