Chabad emissary shot in Russia arrives in Israel

Rabbi Ovadia Isakov, the Chabad emissary who was seriously wounded when he was shot in the Russian city of Derbent, arrived in Israel and was admitted to the intensive care unit at the Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva.
The incident took place in an area located on the border with Chechnya, which has a large Muslim population, prompting local police to look into the possibility that the rabbi was attacked for being Jewish. (Yaron Kelner)
