Italy arrests 100 people in special anti-mafia op

Italian police arrested some 100 individuals in a special operation early morning on Friday against mafia activities in Rome and the city of Calabria in the country's south-west.

The spokesperson for the Italian police announced the operation focused on two different groups within Italy's organized crime. (AFP)
