Southern Lebanon militant group threatens UNIFIL

A southern Lebanon group called "The Jabel Amel Brigade" threatened to attack UNIFIL forces following the EU's decision to blacklist Hezbollah's military arm, if these forces will not leave the country within a month.
Nevertheless, European sources estimated in interviews for the A-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper that Hezbollah has no interest in making UNIFIL leave, especially not while the group is embroiled in the Syrian crisis. European diplomats interviewed for the Al-Hayat newspaper made similar observatons, but warned that Israel may use attacks against UNIFIL as an excuse to attack in southern Lebanon. (Roi Kais)
