Report: US to increase aid to Jordan to $1 billion

Senior Jordanian officials told the al-Hayat newspaper that the US has decided to increase the annual aid to Jordan from $660 million to one billion dollars, starting next year.

According to the officials, the aid is meant to boost Jordan's standing and support its economy. So far, $360 million were allocated to economic support and $300 million to military aid. (Roi Kais)
