Cairo: Thousands amass in Tahrir Square in support of army

The Sky News network in Arabic reported that thousands have answered the call of Egyptian Defense Minister Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and are thronging at Tahrir Square to show support and "give him mandate to fight terror."

Meanwhile, ousted President Mohamed Morsi's supporters are gathering in the Rabaa al-Adwia mosque area and in front of the Cairo University. (Roi Kais)
