Minister Yisrael Katz: Prisoner release encourages terrorism

Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) told Ynet that he opposes "the release of murderer terrorists. It is an insult to the bereaved families and it encourages terrorism."
Meanwhile, some Likud ministers decided to keep low in the few hours before the vote and refused to inform how they will vote on the matter of prisoner release towards negotiations with the Palestinians. Yisrael Beiteinu ministers were given freedom of vote, while Habayit Hayehudi will oppose prisoner release. It is still unclear how ministers Limor Livnat, Silvan Shalom and Gideon Sa'ar will vote.
