Minister Steinitz to support release of prisoners
Minister for Strategic Affairs Yuval Steinitz said at the cabinet meeting that he will support the release of prisoners. According to him, "I will support the prime minister's proposal not because I think it's a fantastic idea, to say the least, but because I think that in an international view, the Israeli government cannot be seen as one that rejects entering negotiations."
Steinitz added that he opposes the release of Israeli Arabs. "When a citizen commits terror against the people of his own country it is completely different," he said. (Noam Dvir)
