A senior Syrian army source claimed that President Bashar Assad's forces have gained full control of a central neighborhood in the city of Homs. The sources noted that within hours, the area will be declared as safe and rebels-free.
According to the same source, rebel forces snipers are still in the outskirts of the neighborhood, but the army is pursuing the remaining gunmen. The Hezbollah affiliated al-Mayadeen network reported that the Syrian army has conquered some 80% of the area. (Roi Kais)
