E Jerusalem: Man attempts to attack detective with screwdriver

An Arab driver confronted an undercover police detective in a gas station in east Jerusalem's Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. According to police, the man attempted to stab the detective with a screwdriver and in response the detective fired into the air to deter him. After the man attempted to attack him again, the officer fired in the direction of his leg.
The man fled the scene and his abandoned car was found near the Tomb of Simeon the Just. The police are currently searching for him. (Noam Dvir)
