Prof. Jacob Frenkel, who was chosen to be the next governor of the Bank of Israel, has announced he is withdrawing his acceptance of the position.
The Turkel Committee opened an investigation into an incident which Frenkel failed to report about in which he was allegedly detained by Hong Kong authorities after he supposedly walked out of a store without paying for a bottle of perfume. (Ynet)
