Opposition MKs try to water down Governance Bill

Knesset members Isaac Herzog (Labor) and Dov Khenin (Hadash) spoke with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the purpose of reaching a deal with the coalition to moderate the "Governance Bill," which they claim hurts democracy.

The new bill contains a number of contested points meant to increase the power of the executive branch, including the raising of the electoral threshold to 4% and raising the majority necessary to pass a motion of no confidence to 65 MKs instead of the current 61. (Moran Azulay)
